Professional Office Phone Installation and Support in SF Bay Area
Silver & Black Telecom has been installing and supporting cloud based office phone systems for more than 20 year in Alameda, Santa Clara, and Contra Costa Counties. We take pride in customizing the best phone system for your needs. Let us show you what a custom office phone system can do for your business.
Here’s why we recommend a cloud-based phone system for your business.
With an on-premises solution, your phone system is centrally stored at your location, and you’re responsible for service and maintenance. The better solution is cloud-based, using the Internet to connect to the cloud, requiring no additional hardware except for phones.
“Which phone system is right for your business?” If you need more information about cost, scalability, maintenance, and upgrades before you chose your phone system read our comparison document.
Every business owner wants dependable and cost-efficient systems that enable business continuity and productivity. But when it comes to business communications, most modern premise-based systems still tie a business to depreciating hardware, outdated equipment, and expensive, complex software.
Silver & Black Telecom offers a high-quality, scalable alternative; with the proven calling features businesses need to improve productivity and efficiency for employees. Check out our Hosted PBX & VoIP brochure which lists a lot of the calling features available with a Cloud-Based system.
Choose the right Business phones
Our cloud-based phone system has the ability to interconnect with most of the VoIP phones out on the market today. Telephones, like automobiles, come in many different styles, sizes, and most importantly prices. Even though most telephones are similar in nature the main criteria should be how well the options or button layout will impact the user. Mix and match the right phones to fit your business needs. We have categorized the phones into four groups:
- Basic phones
- General Office phones
- Executive phones
- Ultra-Executive phones
Phone System Configuration
Call Paths
Call Paths are what allow inbound and outbound calls. In the pre VoIP era we would use the term “telephone lines” to configure the size of a traditional telephone system. How many “Call Paths” do you need? The best rule of thumb is to calculate the maximum number of concurrent phone calls your office receives and or makes, at any given time, on your busiest work day.
SIP Trunks
SIP Trunks replace your antiquated telephone lines. Theses trunks are delivered through a standard internet connection.
CALLING FEATURES
Calling features allow businesses to adjust or manage a multitude of things including call flows, ring groups (sales, customer service, etc.) and auto attendants to name a few. If you haven’t already done so, please download our features overview document “Hosted PBX & VoIP.”
POE SWITCHES
POE (Power-Over-Ethernet) switches are a critical component for a VoIP system and sizing the right switch for our customers depends primarily on the number of phones chosen. Shop switches to see which unit is appropriate for your needs. Proper switch selection will give you a more accurate estimate. If you have any questions feel free to give us a call.
ACCESSORIES
We have added an accessories page to give you an idea of some other pieces of equipment that are often overlooked when purchasing a new telephone system. Battery Back-Up units are critical and an under-sized unit can cause headaches a business owner doesn’t need. Telephone Headsets and Telephone Expansion Modules are key ease-of-use items that allow employees to handle multi-tasking effortlessly. We also stock Webcams! With more and more of our clients moving to Unified Communications (UC) it seemed vital to offer this piece of hardware to our customers. What’s Unified Communications? Unified Communications is the seamless integration of voice, presence, chat, data, applications, and other technologies to improve communications, processes, and business productivity.
